    Sam Champion is an American Meteorologist best known for his combined 25-year career on the ABC flagship station WABC-TV and Good Morning America. Previously, Sam co-anchored America’s Morning Headquarters, a 4-hour morning show and 23.5 Degrees With Sam Champion on The Weather Channel.

    Sam studied at Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia later graduating in 1979. He then joined Eastern Kentucky University for a bachelor’s degree in broadcast news. Moreover, he interned at WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky.

    Champion started work at WPSD-TV in Paducah, Kentucky. Within no time, he moved to WJKS (now WCWJ) in Jacksonville, Florida. Beginning in 1988, he became a weather forecaster for WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News in New York.
