Biografia de robert weitbrecht biography

Robert H Weitbrecht is a person who changed the lives of the Deaf community forever.  He was born in on April 11,   He apparently was born profoundly deaf and when his parents found out they enrolled him into a speechreading course and attended a small private school for deaf children.  The teacher retired so Robert was then placed with a private tutor with another deaf peer.  He received instructions in speechreading, writing, reading, mathematics, science and more when he was 10 and started attending a public school with his brother.  Robert grew up on an orange farm which sparked his interest in machinery and science.  His family took nightly walks to stargaze and taught Robert the constellations which lead him to develop a lifelong passion with astronomy.  When he was 18 he won the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award for a reflecting telescope he constructed using an old Ford axle and 6-inch Pyrex disk for a
