Andrea Büttner was born in Stuggart, Germany in She received a MA in Fine Art at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany, a MA in Art History and Philosophy at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany and a PhD from the Royal College of Art in London, England. Büttner has had solo exhibitions at Musée Régional d’Art Contemporain at Sérignan, France, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Germany and National Museum Cardiff, Wales and group exhibitions at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, She currently lives and works in London, England and Frankfurt Germany.
